About My Journey

Hello and welcome, I am happy you are here. Take some time to dig around. 

My name is Jodi Matthews.  Family, friends and clients call me MamaJojo. I am a woman of color, born and raised in South Minneapolis. A place I hold deep pride and appreciation for. 

I have three bright and magical adult daughters. I feel blessed, to continuously be surrounded by a variety of elders, children and peers that bring influence to our web. I began discovering my spiritual gifts at an early age. Refining, building and weaving those gifts into everything I witness, experience and create is my purpose. This, along with my empathetic nature, has cultivated a lens of patience and compassion rooted in connection and reverence for people, animals, ancestors and lifestyles. 

My offerings come in both tangible and intangible ways. I am incredibly proud to share both. For as long as I can remember, I have been fascinated by human behavior, connection, words, spirit and how it relates to all things. My path has led me to experiences in birth, death, clairvoyance, personal and property stewardship, hospitality, travel, movement and poetry. These are a few of the things that I draw my creativity and passion from. 

I choose to seek and honor the experiences, creating the story, within any one of our paths. You will notice that my offerings cover a broad spectrum. The common thread is steady, MamaJojo’s is rooted in the nature of nurturing.
